LA Vie

This painting, created in 1903, is an essential painting from Picasso’s Blue Period. The painting depicts Picasso’s friend Carlos Casagemas and Germaine Pichot. There was a bizarre love triangle between Picasso, Casagemas, and Pichot, which lead to Casagemas so shoot himself in the head at a cafe.

MArie Therese Walter

Marie Therese Walter was Picasso’s lover and bore one of Picasso’s children. Their relationship started when she was 17 and he was 45 and married. So yeah, he is basically a piece of shit.
